Reach Puppets are based at St Mary's C.E church, Rawtenstall in Rossendale.

We meet to practice every Tuesday evening from 6:45 - 10:00pm our younger members finish at 9:00pm. Our  puppeteers are of high school age up to 18 and we teach puppetry for absolute beginners right through to expert level .

Our aim is to provide a safe, secure and fun environment where young people can develop skills in puppetry, drama, prop making and the use of technical equipment. We are a Christian youth group and we promote the personal spiritual development of all the members of our team.

Reach are always in demand and we encourage all our puppeteers to take part in our performances as soon as possible. We usually get asked to perform in Churches usually as part of a Sunday morning service. We also get invites to perform at family fun days, special weekends and Christian outreach events. Reach are very much involved in local youth events including No limit, Lite Nite, Vision Ignition and Youth Alpha.

We also get opportunities to attend youth events around the UK such as Festival Manchester, MerseyFest and Soul Survivor, these event involve arranging a week away together camping in the middle of a field and having a great time.

Reach also get involved in training and competitions around the UK and in recent years Chicago USA.

We have also arranged short term mission trips to Albania in 2005 and 2007 performing for the local school children and running puppetry workshops for the local church. These trips provide our young people with an amazing opportunity for personal development and  spiritual growth. 

Reach operates within St Mary's child protection policy and promotes "Children First". All leaders maintain a current CRB disclosure and several are working towards a "Bishops Certificate in Youth Work" a nationally recognised NVQ in youth leader competence.
